Saint Joseph's Men's Group focuses on spiritual growth in the life of men in the parish community:

    (1) PRAYER: Jesus said: Where two or more are gathered in my name, I am in the midst of them (Mt: 18:20). Every meeting we grow our spiritual life by praying the rosary, and at times, the litany of Saint Joseph.

    (2) KNOWLEDGE: Almost always, there’s a teaching that helps us to grow in knowledge of Christ and Church teaching. By filling ourselves with wisdom & truth we grow closer to knowing Jesus Christ.

    (3) DISCIPLESHIP: The disciples were a community of men, who followed Christ and his teachings. They prayed with the Lord; learned from Him; shared the good news with others; but they were also brothers to one another. Today, we are called do the same! The Men's Group is also moving towards helping parishioners grow in their spiritual life.

    (4) SAINT JOSEPH: Finally, Saint Joseph is a model for all men who desire closeness to Christ. Saint Joseph was a holy husband and father; chaste; a righteous man of prayer who followed the law; he listened to God; protected his family; he led the holy family in prayer and taught Jesus how to pray (something to ponder)!!

The Church often turns to Mary because she is the mother of our Lord. However, if Mary is our mother, and Jesus our brother, then Saint Joseph is a father for us as well!!

If you wish to be close to Christ, we again today repeat, “Go to Joseph!” (Gn 41:55)
