1.) Let's avoid a problem before it ever exists. Members are not asked for any uniquely identifying information that can be used by bad actors for other purposes. For example, we will not request address information, complete birthday information, social security info, etc.)
2.) The system is set up on a secure server using "https://".
3.) To secure each account, each member is given a universal identifier.
4.) Each member has the option to use two-part authentication. Using this feature... after logging in... the member is sent a unique code via text message or email to verify they are the appropriate person logging in.
5.) Each member has the option to activate "Enhanced Security Alerts." This feature will send an email to the member whenever their account is accessed or their content is changed.
6.) Content changes are backed-up temporarily. So, should a member identify someone broke into their account, we can often revert back to the original configuration.
7.) Our staff is alerted when content is submitted or changed. So, we can quickly stop and block any abuses.
8.) Each screen is designed with variable checkers built in. For example, when changing content, we make sure the proper variables are submitted and member permissions are checked. Should the proper conditions not exist, the submission is blocked on the spot.
9.) Members are able to block and report unwanted or inappropriate communications.
10.) Content authors, ministries, events and activities are able to remove unwanted comments and remove unwanted followers.
