Scriptures Demand We Do More
Peter, the person Jesus choose upon whom to build His church, makes it very clear,

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another,
as good stewards of God's varied grace."
1 Peter 4:10

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works..."

Peter 4:8

1 Corinthians 15:58

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."

Ephesians 2:10

"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.",/i>
Romans 12:18

"Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality."

Acts 2:42

"... and they devoted themselves to the teaching and the fellowship.... distributing the proceeds to those who had need..."

Matthew 5:14-16

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

1 Corinthians 12:4-7

"There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good."
Exodus 35:10
"Let every skillful craftsman among you come and make all that the Lord has commanded."

1 Corinthians 12:7

To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
1 Timothy 4:14
Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
1 Corinthians 14:12
So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church.
Romans 12:4
For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function,
Matthew 25:21
His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
Matthew 25:18

But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money.
Romans 12:6

    Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;
John 13: 34-35

"Love one another just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another."

Here's s question worth pondering: Do churches fail to use the talents if they fail to help their followers use their talents? Parable of the Talents
